THE LIVING WITH WILDLIFE APPEAL
Through a partnership between Send a Cow and Tusk, the Living with Wildlife Appeal has raised funds to support both the people and wildlife of Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda.
Thanks to the generous support received, the Living with Wildlife appeal exceeded its fundraising target, and the UK government will match all public donations that were received between 15 January and 14 April 2020.
Send a Cow and Tusk can now begin to support farmers and wildlife living in and around the park. The money raised will train families living in poverty how to grow their own food and create sustainable ways of making a living while also funding vital conservation work in the community.

Poverty is threatening Uganda’s most vulnerable families and as a result, the local wildlife, including the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.

‘‘By giving people other sources of income, we can protect these wild animals, not just for Uganda but for the whole world.’’
Patrick Agaba, Local Tusk Partner

‘‘If people had alternative livelihoods then they would leave the animals alone.’’
